Is mayochup the ultimate condiment?

Heinz has triggered what Food For Thought dubbed "an all-out social media war" with its latest product: a sauce made by combining mayonnaise and ketchup called, wait for it, "mayochup." In Ireland, this combo is known as "burger sauce," and as "fry sauce" in Utah. It's also sold in bottle form in Puerto Rico as well. While some welcome the dawn of mayochup, others say an actual jar of ketchup and mayonnaise mixed together is sick and wrong. What do you think?

Half a million Americans asked for this! Heinz is simply bowing to the will of the people.

Heinz launched a public poll on Twitter, asking Americans to make the hard decision for them: “Want #mayochup in stores? 500,000 votes for yes and we’ll release it to you saucy Americans.”

But for many condiment aficionados, this new product is an abomination.

And as many pointed out, this product is already widely available in Puerto Rico.

Still, plenty of consumers are thrilled.
