Demi Lovato blasted Taylor Swift and any of her friends who don't have "a normal body." Demi said, "it's kind of this false image of what people should look like." While Demi is bringing attention to the unrealistic expectations for women to be skinny, critics think Demi is shaming Taylor and any woman who has a skinnier body type. Does society shame skinnier body types while trying to encourage women not to be so-called "supermodel" thin? Read more and vote below!

Demi said this about Taylor:

"This will probably get me in trouble, but I don't see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It's kind of this false image of what people should look like."

She added about the "Bad Blood" video:

"I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that's not women's empowerment."

But is Demi a hypocrite much?

How do you advocate against body shaming by body shaming someone else's look? Maybe it's all in the approach.

Many skinny people are criticized for being too skinny-looking, but some skinny people are naturally thin! What's so wrong with that?!

Huffington Post blogger Sara Pittman wrote:

I have been exceptionally thin all of my life. I get it from my momma. That doesn’t put me into some distorted stereotypical mold with a personality to match. I am no stranger to whispers, rumors and insulting jabs in regard to my weight or to being shunned simply because of the cliched judgement of others. Our bodies do not define us, although society seems to forget that. The media likes to constantly remind us to second guess ourselves and push us to feel inadequate. Women can’t win. We are either too fat or too thin and we despise it, but as women we can be ruthless. We contribute to this insanity. We are part of the problem in this never-ending vicious cycle. It makes us feel better about ourselves to discuss what we perceive as flaws in others. Well, I’m done. I’ve had enough. Ladies! Let’s grab our proverbial balls and tell ourselves that we are all pretty fucking awesome. Let’s stop trying to look like what the media perceives as strong, beautiful and sexy. Let’s feel that way about ourselves regardless!

Tearing down thin people doesn't empower other women with different body images.

Some took Demi's comments as saying fit people should be ashamed for being fit. Although, skinny doesn't mean healthy; many are saying you shouldn't assume a skinny person is healthy or unhealthy for that matter.

But others just want to see representation from different body types, not just skinny women all the time. If men and women saw an array of body images they wouldn't unrealistically obsess over their looks.

#TooThinNotNormal

Not everyone is thin. Critics don’t think people should idolize super-thin celebrities.

#TooThinNotNormal

The "supermodel" image has a reputation for being unhealthy and dangerously too thin.

#TooThinNotNormal

Be well, everyone. It's unhealthy to be too thin as much as it is unhealthy to be obese.

#TooThinNotNormal

Skinny people aren't exempt from eating healthy or being well.
