Would you rather get $1,000 or an iPhone 11? | The Tylt
So you’re hanging out in your grandparents’ basement when you come upon this lamp, right? It’s a weird-looking thing, so as humans are wont to do with strange objects, you decide to pick it up. When you use your sleeve to rub off that layer of dust, poof, a genie whirls out! Now being savvy with what the kids want these days, this genie gives you two choices. You could receive $1,000 in cold hard cash, or the much-desired iPhone 11 Pro. Which do you wish for?

As the genie awaits your answer, you think of the number they just stated: “a thousand.” Getting a grand in one go is, like, how many hours of pay? It’s winning a round on “Wheel of Fortune” or winning the slots at Vegas. It’s like suddenly becoming an Instagram-famous, except it's actually worth something!
Choosing the $1,000 over the phone means you’re free to spend it however you like. Maybe you’re a person of simple tastes and would rather schedule an appointment for some retail therapy. Maybe you’re a baller that’ll go all out on a night on the town. Or maybe you’re a responsible soul, and you’ll put that $1,000 safely within some fund that’ll grow over time. You do you, pal.
Phones get updated nearly every year, anyway. Heck, there may be a time when all cellular devices are rendered obsolete. Hard to believe, right, but then again, you’re talking to a genie at the moment, so…
Yeah, money’s nice and all, but think of all that the iPhone 11 brings to you. Everyone knows that it has some serious dual-camera action that’ll seriously level-up your photos. Everyone knows its screen is the toughest glass used for a smartphone yet. It’s the iPhone that’s finally done away with all the grievances of its predecessors. How could you not want in on that?
It’s no secret how much of the world is contingent upon our phones today, anyway. Getting the latest version just means you’ll be integrated into society a lot faster than everyone else. You’ll find yourself savvier about certain things, a lot more at ease with the future. Money can’t buy you that.
If you’re caught between either choice, think of it this way: you can wish for the iPhone 11, then sell it for cash that most likely amounts to more than a grand, anyway! Wish quickly, now—the genie’s waiting.
