Are you going to the beach for Memorial Day?
Although social distancing practices as well as other restrictions remain in place, public parks and beaches are starting to open up again across the country. Many are taking this as a sign to start getting back to the normal way of things. By the time Memorial Day rolls around, some members of the public fully intend to take advantage of the nice weather, traipsing outside to celebrate the holiday like it’s any other virus-free year.
Just because some public places have opened back up doesn’t mean people should start being careless. There’s still an international pandemic going on; skipping on down to the beach for a day in the sun isn’t a luxury we currently have. There are other priorities at hand, and getting those COVID-19 numbers down is at the top of the list.
Besides, you can get totally creative celebrating Memorial Day at home. We’ve been quarantined now for multiple weeks and have somehow managed to stay afloat; we can do a few more for the safety of others.
