Is punctuality important? | The Tylt

Is punctuality important?
Time is the one thing you can never get back in life. This make it imperative for one to not only avoid wasting it, but to make sure you’re not wasting the time of others as well. As such, punctuality is considered by many as one of the pillars of etiquette. Others think it’s not that important, so long as you make it to your appointment. What do you think?

As stated previously, once time is gone, it’s gone (as far as we know, time nerds; we don’t need your sass). If you have a set appointment—whether it be for your job or just meeting up with a friend—it is straight-up disrespectful to be late. Don’t be that guy.

This doesn’t mean you have to be like that White Rabbit and freak out every time you’re late for an important date. Just, you know, time manage appropriately. You wouldn’t want people to be late so something you set up, would you?

Chill, everyone—it’s not that big a deal. Things happen and people are late, okay? There’s no need to get absolutely crazy preparing for an appointment, only to get there incredibly early and waste time by waiting. Who cares?

Besides, as long as you make it to where you’re supposed to be, job well done! That’s all that matters. As long as it’s not by hours or days (or by not at all), being late by a few minutes or so isn’t that rude of a thing.
