Would you rather own a home or just rent an apartment?
Owning a home means having something that’s completely yours. There’s no landlord that dictates your every move; no annoying roommates to deal with constantly. You’ll have a place whose walls are far apart from your neighbors for ultimate privacy. Did we also mention it’s completely yours?
Sure, you may have a mortgage to pay off, but think about all the money you’ll save in the long run for something you’ll have for the rest of your life! And you won’t have any annoying neighbors stomping around in what we can only assume were wooden clogs at all hours of the night. Talk about a win-win.
Owning a home doesn’t really seem to be really what it’s cracked up to be. Okay, yeah, sure, Mr. and Mrs. Van Clomper are no longer above you doing their routine at night, but now you have Mr. “I-Tan-Naked-in-Broad-Daylight” on one side of you with Mrs. “Let-Me-Tell-You-My-Life’s-Story-Each-Time-I-See-You” on the other. Apartment living seems to be way more private in this light, no?
Besides, owning a house is just way too expensive. Heck, the etymology of the word “mortgage” stems from the Old French of “death pledge,” basically meaning you’re paying that thing off until you’re dead. We’d rather live in a trailer if the apartment's not an option, thanks.
