Do you take your makeup off before bed at night?
Leaving your makeup on before bed can have some serious repercussions for your skin. Products such as foundation and mascara house harmful aggressors such as dirt and free radicals which clog pores, dull skin, and even speed the aging process. You also run the risk of other not-so-fun health consequences—like getting a sty—which are super preventable by, you know, washing your face regularly.
Your body regenerates itself via sleep, skin included. Going to bed with a full face on prevents your skin from this vital regeneration process. So do yourself (and your pillowcase) a favor, and go to bed with a face as fresh as a daisy.
Forgetting to remove your makeup before bed every once in a while (or more than once in a while) is seriously no big deal. So what if you left a bit of eyeliner on your lid before catching some z's? It’s not going to cause a massive pimple outbreak or form some fine lines on your face as soon as you wake up.
