Do mothers really need their own holiday?

Mother's Day will soon be upon us and, with it, moms everywhere will receive a bunch of terrible gifts as a token show of support from loved ones. But for others, it's become yet another overly-commercialized holiday that inadvertently humiliates women suffering from fertility issues and enables ungrateful kids to ignore their mom every other day of the year. What do you think?

If treating your mother a little extra special on one day a year—just to show her how much you appreciate everything she has done for you—is wrong, then we don't want to be right.
