Do Cheez-Its and wine go together?

It may seem odd at first, but some say Cheez-Its and wine are the ultimate combination. Cheez-Its and wine make for the perfect chill Friday evening, party of one, or for a picnic in the summer sun. Now everyone's favorite cheddar cracker is partnering with House Wine to make the pairing even easier for customers: a combo-box of Cheez-Its and, of course, boxed wine will be available for a limited time. Others are just confused by the partnership, saying wine pairs with pastas, fish and meats, but not snacks. What do you think?

It's only natural. If cheese and wine go together, Cheez-Its and wine are the perfect pair. Per a press release announcing the partnership, the Cheez-Its brand listened to what the people want, and it plans to deliver:

"We are thrilled to partner with House Wine to combine their expertise and America's favorite 100% real cheese snack into one portable box," said Jeff Delonis, senior marketing director for Kellogg's U.S. Snacks division.

The food-drink combo is no laughing matter. Not only can the Cheez-It-wine pairing sooth the soul, but it also offers a whole new world of culinary creativity for customers to take advantage of:

In addition to the boxed product, Cheez-It and House Wine curated custom pairings for a variety of tastes. To bring out the real cheese notes inside more Cheez-It flavors, the brands recommend varietals to pair including: Original & Red Blend, White Cheddar & Rosé, Extra Toasty & Sauvignon Blanc and more. House Wine's winemaker Hal Landvoigt hand-selected the pairings through various taste tests and his own expert process.

No, just no. This partnership is leaning into the worst kind of behavior; wine is great on it's own and Cheez-its are great on their own. The two do not belong on the same picnic blanket, let alone the same picnic table.

As some users on Twitter put it:
