Gawker.com has met its demise. Gawker lost a $140 million judgement over an exposé about Hulk Hogan's affair and sex tape. Hogan's lawsuit was funded by Peter Thiel, a billionaire whom Gawker also pissed off.\n\nUnivision Communications bought Gawker's assets and six other blogs for $135 million in a bankruptcy auction and announced Gawker will be shutting down the week of Aug. 21.
