Do you prefer white or colorful Christmas lights?

Christmas is arguably the most decorative time of the year as it is (also arguably) the most wonderful time of the year. This is evidenced by the fact that stores start decorating for the Yuletide season in October. One debate that’s as old as time is which type of Christmas lights are the best to deck the halls with right next to that holly. Some argue in favor of white lights for their classic look while others love the cheer colorful strings bring. Which is your favorite?

Christmas decorations can get way too cramped. You got all those baubles and ferns and whatever, making for something that can either look like a magazine catalog or just a hot mess. But throw a few white lights into the mix, and everything ends up looking as clean as the first snowfall.

White Christmas lights are also classic. They’re the refined old dames of Christmas decorations, standing boldly against all those garish bits and bobs. #WhiteLightsFTW, baby.

Seriously, how could you prefer white lights to colorful? White lights are just so plain and boring. Colorful lights are joyous and cheerful—they look like sprinkles, for God’s sake, your eyes eat them right up!
