Your body is probably used to eating and digesting food at least 4 times a day – sometimes more.That keeps your digestive organs busy, devoting constant energy to digestion all day long.Especially if you are eating a diet rich in cooked foods, refined sugars, and meat, your body is working overtime to create the enzymes needed to digest all of that food. A juice cleanse will give your digestive system a much needed break, as you consume only enzyme-rich raw juice that is easy for your body to breakdown and digest. This gives your body significantly more energy to devote to releasing toxins!
But nutritionists and psychologists alike say there's no real science behind the cleanses. They criticize juice cleansing and detoxes as just crash dieting rebranded, which has been proven to be bad for your mental and physical health. Healthy weight loss happens incrementally, but juice cleanses are nothing if not extreme.

And honestly, fruits and vegetables in any form are far healthier than the typical processed American diet. Between heart disease and cancer, fast food is a hell of a lot more dangerous than any cleanse.
