Dark mode is not new to Android users, and some Apple fans can't wait for their iPhones to bring their eyes certain relief through dark mode. But some critics say dark mode isn't worth the hype—it's just a dark screen after all. What do you think?

At Apple's annual developers conference in June 2019, CEO Tim Cook introduced iOS13, Apple's latest operating system. Among many iPhone software updates was one, highly anticipated feature: dark mode. CNET's Ry Crist explains the design behind dark mode on iPhones:
Enable it, and your phone will replace the light-colored interfaces in native Apple apps like Maps, Mail and Messages with a much darker design.
